One of the first characters I designed, modeled, textured for our indie game Mortal Shell.
The first 10pics here show the high-poly model in various design stages/options(you can see the early design having a quite different mail armor layer) rendered in Octane using procedural materials as part of the early Look-Dev.
And the last 5 pics show the textured in-game lowpoly model as seen in Substance Painter.
I made the base concept in ZBrush first, then did a 1st pass on armor in Softimage XSI. After that I made the cloth in Marvelous Designer and detailed the rest in ZBrush.
The final lowpoly is around 100k triangles and I did the retopo using XSI, then baked maps and textured it in Substance Painter.
